Prints for Charity is an online fundraising site set up by photographer Keith Bolling. For each print sold on this site 40% of the sale will go to a charity listed on the specific country pages. The goal of this project is to raise money for those in need while showing photographs of the people and places that will receive the support.
The 8.0 magnitude quake that struck the coast of Peru on August 15 killed over 500 people and left tens of thousands homeless. The latest numbers indicate there are 35,568 families directly affected, approximately 503 deaths and 1042 injured as a result of the quake. In a vast disaster area surrounding the cities of Pisco and Ica, the survivors, many of them living on the streets, are now desperately waiting for help. More than 56,000 houses were destroyed by the quake and several powerful aftershocks.
